Subject:

Nominations of teachers for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for school teachers wishing to conduct research on School Education at designated Japanese Universities as Teacher Training Students for the academic year 2020. Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government, of India, has sought nominations for ten scholarships under Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship-2020 from Independent schools/Government schools other than KVS and NVS affiliated to CBSE. 

2. Principals can forward the nomination of their teachers having at least ten years’ experience in primary/secondary education along with a research proposal prepared by the teacher. Teacher must also possess a valid passport. Rest of the requirement will be as per the qualifications/eligibility criteria as mentioned in the Annexure – A. The candidates will be selected by an evaluation process based on their research proposal, interview and written test in Delhi.

3. The aspiring candidates may contact the Embassy at: +91-011-46104865 for any query related to the scholarship or visit the link https://studyinjapan.go.jp/en/smap_stopjapplications_teacher.html for detailed information of application procedure.

4. The finally selected teachers will required to be relieved from individual schools for 18
months duration of the scholarship program in Japan.

5. The nomination of teacher along with the following document duly verified by the school principal must be uploaded as pdf attachment at the Google form https://forms.gle/4Tn2NAFM6rxL3hV86 not later than January 5, 2020.

b. MEXT Scholarship Recommendation From as per the Format B 
c. 2020 Placement Preference Application Form for Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship (Teacher Training Student)as per the Format C
d. Certificate of Health as per the Format D 
e. Individual research proposals
f. Details of experience, activities carried out by the teachers, annexure and supporting documents as available.
